After an AMAZING appearance at Dixie Fields in the UK Curb Records’ Jackson Michelson won over a legion of fans. And now he has released his second single of the summer “Stay Over”. Penned by Michelson, Jeff Pardo (Ben Rector, Francesca Battistelli) and Molly Reed Grayson (Danielle Bradbery, Marie Osmond), and co-produced by Pardo and Jim Ed Norman (Garth Brooks, Dylan Scott), the smoldering track is now available to purchase and stream on all digital platforms. “Stay Over” premiered exclusively with Taste of Country yesterday, who called it a “mid-tempo song [that] presents a lush sonic backdrop augmented by an insistent beat.”
“‘Stay Over’ is about an on-again, off-again relationship filled with passion,” Michelson told Taste of Country. “Sometimes the relationship is meant to be, but the timing just isn’t right. I wanted to write a song from that vulnerable point of view.”
“Stay Over” follows Michelson’s most recent single and video “One At A Time,” which released June 7. The video for “One At A Time” has already seen over 105,000 views, and the track has been added to YouTube Music’s Country’s New Crop playlist, as well as Spotify’s New Boots, Wild Country and Pop-Coplaylists.
After years on the road averaging over 200 shows per year, the Portland, Oregon native released SiriusXM The Highway hit, “The Good Life” – which ultimately lead to a record deal with Curb. Michelson spent much of the past year writing for his upcoming projects. “I knew I needed to give my writing the same attention I’d given the road for the past several years.” Collaborating with Ebach, GRAMMY nominee Jeff Pardo and Curb’s Jim Ed Norman for production, his new music is a testament to his hard work, continued dedication to fans and spot as one of country music’s most anticipated up-and-comers.
